People young and old, from all different backgrounds, come together every year all around the United States to raise money for children in Niger. These rally events are organized by various organizations, groups and clubs. The rallies are fun and there is a sense of camaraderie as we talk and laugh, and sometimes enjoy friendly competition!
The Remember Niger Coalition began because we saw a unique opportunity to help Nigeriens who have a vision for their country. Our Nigerien partners envision a transformed Niger through primary education. They began with one school with about 400 students. There are now 9 schools with over 2,200 students. This would not be possible without you, our supporters.
Our rallies raise money for a project in Niger that most needs our support. Here in the United States, we understand the value of giving the young minds the right start in school. Little children in Niger will be able to gain this valuable learning experience because of your generosity. THANK YOU!
Laying the Foundation
This year’s Laying the Foundation will help us to support our Girls Advancement Program and the Hamsa Girls Education Center.
The Hamsa Girls Education Center exists to provide formal education opportunities and skills training to girls and young women in Niger in order to break the cycle of multi-dimensional poverty, reduce early marriage rates and improve the overall quality of life for this generation and future generations to come.
