First Annual Bike-A-Thon – A Success!

I’m very happy to report that the 1st annual Remember Niger Coalition Bike-A-Thon was a success.  Nearly 20 riders in four different states took to the streets and bike paths and biked 50 miles over the course of 5-6 hours.  We had a lot of fun and accomplished much!  We raised nearly $10,000 (with money still coming in) for the computer lab that will be set up in in an elementary school in Niger in July!  All of the volunteers and donors deserve an enormous THANK YOU for the success of this event.  I cannot even begin to describe the impact that this is going to have in Niger and on individual lives!  Children who normally have so few opportunities will now get to learn the skills and knowledge that will help them to be successful in the future.  I can hardly wait to send updates and pictures from Niger when we’re their setting up the computer lab and helping to train teachers on the computers.  Merci Beaucoup!
