One reason for the low school attendance rate in Niger is that there simply are not enough schools. Remember Niger Coalition provides support to our partners for the construction of new classrooms, resource centers, latrines, wells, and more.

School buildings and classrooms

New classrooms and school buildings are crucial to our mission. Each year Remember Niger works with our partners and supporters to provide more space at our current school communities. In addition, we are regularly in conversation with potential new partners in need of new space for students to go to school.

Latrines

Practicing good health and hygiene is essential. We construct separate latrines for boys and girls. The latrines are inclusive for students who have disabilities and they include hand washing stations to reinforce proper hygiene and health.
